What can we do to support Sasak?
Sasak speakers are diminishing, but because there are still thousands of speakers, it’s not too late to support the language and encourage people to start speaking again!
First steps:

• This website will be shared with speakers of Sasak and the dean of IKIP Mataram
• Share information about the state of Sasak language and encourage people to use and appreciate their language
• If you are a parent or you work with children, designate some time each day to speak Sasak with them

Things to work towards:

• Write and publish a story in Sasak and share with the community
• Exclusively English-Sasak slang pocket dictionary
• Add to existing Sasak archives and assure that they are accessible to Sasak speakers
• Encourage an online presence of Sasak

With funding and community support, we would like to:

• Establish Sasak-based school and daycare programs
• Make social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) available in Sasak
